Yes, the mushroom kingdom is filled with idiots. At one point, though, the storyline for there being 367 sunken ships was that the mushroom kingdom was on earth, but unreachable by air/sea, thus the abundance of wrecked human ships in the sea.

Hey all! I'm proud to announce that 8 out of 9 worlds have been completed! If this was just a full remake I'd have stopped development now but I've got 7 more levels to develop! Since I canned Super Wario Land X I want to bring this to everyone who's excited for it. I want to make it enjoyable to you all. I think I've got that down or in the bag. It's an easy enough goal, and I hope I can reach it for all of you. And also like I said a 38a version is planned.

Hey guys! It's been a big while since I've updated you guys on this project so I'm here to do just that. I haven't really been able to find much time to work on it, to be honest with you, so the project is still not done even though world 8 has been done for like, months now. To be honest with you, I have lost some motivation due to school and other projects going on outside of SMBX. The future of this project was decided and to be honest I'm really leaning towards releasing it only for 38a. The levels I've created in 2.0 won't be compatible with 38a so I'll have to start from the ground up (which won't be a bad thing, I feel like the quality of my original remasters wasn't that great). The 38a version will have the same story as the 2.0 version but the gameplay mechanics and aesthetic will be more akin to SMB1 All Stars. Anyway, seeya guys, for now.
