I would love to use those graphic's. I especially like the detail shading of the ground tiles.

1) it's not because wrong: some backgrounds are repeatable by vertical in the editor and even in the SMBX itself. Try to replace another background (for example, SMW Hills, SMW Forest, SMB1 Hills, etc.)
2) please don't usw "Tiled background" flag with non-repeatable by vertical backgrounds
