But maybe not this much? I've had some bit of writing done already this morning and I would have finished the rest today for sure. I still feel like this should have been communicated better. How many applications are there in total?

Enough that I could have closed it two days ago but chose to leave it open just in case there were any that might've been better.

I submitted mine just now. That took way longer then I thought it did. Maybe about half an hour? ...or closer to an hour? I started typing at 15:20 and it is now 16:16, hahaha.

Is it just me, or did the time window for these application submissions go by really fast? I know the deadline was originally the 17th, but it still would've felt like it went by pretty fast.

Well, personally I finished just over 1500 words for this within a few hours of this topic being posted which I then edited a few times and then sent in. I think there was more than enough time for people committed to getting themselves out there for one of these judging positions
