M# Trouble in Prehistoric times

Back in Prehistoric times, cave people had to avoid being eaten by carnivorous dinosaurs, this is one of those times, but this
time with a twist, these carnivores are unnaturally intelligent and are master of disguise. The cave people will have to find a way to
get rid of them before everyone is eaten! But luckily, the cave people also have to help of herbivore dinosaurs who also are
unnaturally intelligent. But there's also a dinosaur flying from above and watching from a safe distance.

EYES IN THE SKY: Survive until the end and somehow steal victory

Allosaurs

Can change their cardflip color to red, green, blue, or orange each night. Knows who their teammates are.

Confused Raptor

Can eat someone each night, but is uninformed of who their teammates are, but can't eat anyone on
night 1.

Shady Troodon

Can select a target to hear all their ingoing and out going private messages, and knows who their teammates are.

Command Bomb Achillobator

Can attach a time bomb to a target of their choice each night, and they pick a word atleast 5 letters long,
and if they say that word the next day, they will die. Knows who their teammates are.

The Cave People And Herbivores

Can find out someone's color each night.

Brontosaurs

Can protect someone from being killed each night

Triceratops

Can ram someone each night, killing them, but if they kill a caveman or herbivore they lose this ability the next night

Town wins if all the werewolves and The Stranger are killed.
Werewolves win if the number of surviving town members equals or is less than the number of surviving werewolves.
The Stranger wins if all of the werewolves and all of the specials are killed.
Lynch votes must be in red. Bolding is optional but highly recommended.

Werewolves
Werewolf: Decides with the other Werewolves on who to kill each night.
Werewolf: Decides with the other Werewolves on who to kill each night.
Half-Lycanthrope: Decides with the other Werewolves on who to kill each night. Cardflips green when inspected or killed. During each Night phase, the Half-Lycanthrope may choose one of two things that will happen when he would die during the night. Once he chooses one of these abilities, he may not change which one he can use until the next Night phase.
1. He saves himself and becomes a regular Werewolf, cardflipping red upon inspection and death and losing all other special abilities.
2. When he chooses this ability, he must also pick a player. That player will die when the Half-Lycanthrope dies.

Town
Seer: May inspect a player each night, revealing their color to the Seer.
Acolyte: Acts as a normal Townsfolk, but becomes the Seer when the current Seer dies.
Priest: May save a player from death each night.
Huntsman: May kill a player once per night. If he kills a Town member, he loses his power for the following night.
Lover: Acts as a normal Townsfolk, but is in contact with the other Lover.
Lover: Acts as a normal Townsfolk, but is in contact with the other Lover.
Townsfolk: Can vote to lynch a player each day.
Townsfolk: Can vote to lynch a player each day.
Townsfolk: Can vote to lynch a player each day.
Townsfolk: Can vote to lynch a player each day.
Townsfolk: Can vote to lynch a player each day.
Madman: Acts as a normal Townsfolk, but cardflips red upon inspection and death. Is aware that they're the Madman.

Third Party
The Stranger: Can kill a player once per night. Alongside being able to kill a player, he may choose one of three abilities each night. Once he chooses one of these abilities, he may not change which one he can use until the next Night phase.
1. He can paint himself green for the Day phase. This paint wears off the next Night phase.
2. He can place a mysterious ward on himself. If he would die during this Night phase, he may save himself.
3. Once throughout the entire game he may use this ability, invoking the anger of the Old Gods and crashing a wave into the village. This ability roleblocks every single player (not including The Stranger), and kills off a player chosen at random (this can also include The Stranger). Once this ability is used, The Stranger cannot make a kill during the following Night phase, although he can still use one of his other two abilities.

Kind of a bit different than the usual Mafia games. What do you think?

M__: Nuclear Politics

After a tragic uranium incident in the Town, different groups have formed to try to take power; but their way of getting there isn't so good. The side effects of the melt-down are also causing unwarranted effects.

The Greed Group
Oligarchist: The leader of the Greed Tribe. His Lynch vote counts as 2 and he is immune to Nightkills. Can collaboratively choose a player to kill with their teammates each Night. If they are the last remaining member of their team, their Lynch vote counts as 3.
Tax Collector: The much hated mean of the town. They can charge a person an immense amount of money each Night, making them unable to use their ability the next Night. If they are the last remaing member on their team, their target's lynch vote will also count as 0 (in addition to their normal ability).
Vile Cop: A cop turned bad. They can throw a person in jail each Night making them unable to speak the next Day. Can collaboratively choose a player to kill with their teammates each Night.

The Clever Group
Scribe: The very knowledgeable leader of the Clever Group. They can paint themself any colour each Night (red, blue, purple, yellow, or green). Can collaboratively choose a player to kill with their teammates each Night.
Trickster: The tricky member of the Town who never plays by the rules. They can choose a player each Night; that player's Lynch vote will count as -1 the following day period if they vote. (This isn't -1 subtracted from their normal Lynch vote power.) Can collaboratively choose a player to kill with their teammates each Night. If they are the last remaining member on their team, their target's Lynch vote will be worth -2.
Mad Scientist: A maniac crazed by brief exposure to some poisonous gases from one of their experiments. Once during the game, they can unleash the powers of their chemicals, however they will die too (and this does not count as the Nightkill). Can collaboratively choose a player to kill with their teammates each Night.

The Town
Sheriff: Can inspect a player to find out their colour each Night.
Security Engineer: Can safeguard a player each Night from a Nightkill, but not from an ability.
Chemist: Can safeguard a player each Night from an ability used against them, but not a Nightkill. Immune to the affects of Nuclear Aftermath.
Chemist's Assistant: Immune to the affects of Nuclear Aftermath.
Postman: Can post an anonynous message that will be displayed at the end of each Night.
Narcissist: Is strongly convinced that they're special, but they have no special abilities.

History Fanatic: Knows their identity as the History Fanatic.

Game Mechanics
Cardflip: The colour of players will be revealed upon death, but not the true colour if their colour was changed by an ability.
Greed Group/Clever Group Win Conditions: Must be the last group remaining standing and must outnumber the specials (Blue) including the Chemist's Assistant.
Town Win Conditions: Avoid being taken over by the uprising groups. Wins if there are no more members of Groups alive.
Nuclear Aftermath: By RNG (Random Number Generator), two players will be affected by one of the following effects for the duration of a Day phase: (1) Silencing (2) Lynch vote counts as 0 (or less if they are affected by the Trickster's ability). This can affect any player.

Due to the way the Town win condition is worded, it's really hard for The Stranger to win. They need to have three people left, one of which is a killing role. Then The Strange kills the killer, who kills person #3. Presumably the Town win condition should be "Town wins if all the werewolves and The Stranger are killed". Also Stranger being able to die from his own ability is kind of weird.

Half-Wolf should probably mention that they lose their special powers on transformation, for clarity.

More fun time near-impossible victory conditions. The town can't win unless the groups kill each other all on the same night. One group can die independently, but a mutual kill is still needed. Otherwise the 'last group standing' condition is a prerequisite for the 'kill all the groups' condition. On the bright side this means the otherwise super strong alliance between Postman and Cop doesn't immediately break the game the moment the Narcissist can link them up.
The penalties for town killing are weirdly harsh, considering how good the abilities can be.
Random effects can be vaguely annoying (zero vote day 1) to basically game changing (zero vote at lynch or lose).
Negative lynch vote is possibly the most obnoxious vote-related mechanic I've seen.

In many games of Mafia/Werewolf that I have played in and seen, both on this forums and not, the Third Party always has a victory condition that is quite hard to obtain, so I can understand where you are coming from with this, and it seems like a reasonable change.

I did that more of as a balancing mechanic, so it adds more risk to the Stranger doing that ability. The ability roleblocks all players, and kills a random player, which can be anyone. The silencing I may remove, but I will keep the penalty on not being able to make a kill the night after using the ability.

Bowser’s Mafia Attacks the Mushroom Kingdom

Can Refract votes by posting in bold green(is this allowed?)

There’s trouble in the Mushroom Kingdom, after all of bowser’s failed attempts to take over the mushroom kingdom, he came up with a new plan, a plan that involved the idea of a mafia. So he decided to gather some of his troops and form a mafia to take over the mushroom kingdom, Mario and luigi were informed of this by a toad that overheard their plan from afar, they were also informed that the mafia that bowser created are masters of disguise so they have to try to be careful if they want to take down bowser’s mafia. The kongs also found out about this and ended up being involved as well, but are working on a different plan. so with that, Mario and Luigi and a few of the others get ready to take down Bowser’s mafia and save the Mushroom Kingdom once again.

Bowser’s Mafia
Bowser:He’s the one who’s leading his Mafia, but he cardflips green, lynch votes count as 2, and he’s immune to night kills. Discusses with his mafia who to kill.
Bowser Jr.:He can block one player’s ability each night, and if bowser dies, his lynch votes count as 2. Discusses with the other mafia who to kill.
Potion Bro: This hammer bro learned to use throwing potions and how to brew them, and therefore is able to paint a player green, red, blue, orange, purple, or black each night but can only use each color once. Discusses with the other mafia who to kill.
Bomb-omb: This bomb-omb can blow himself up on a night, killing himself and one player of his choice.
Koopatrol: Can ram someone with the spike on his head each night, injuring them, causing them to not be able to speak the next day phase. Discusses with the other mafia who to kill.

The Mushroom Town
Mario: Since he’s very familiar with bowser and his minions, he can find out the color of someone each night.
Luigi: Can convince one person of their choice to change their vote to someone else of their choice, If Mario dies, lynch votes count as two.
Peach: Can use a starman to protect someone from being killed each night phase.
Toad(Individual): Can blast someone with a bomb every night but loses ability for 2 nights if he kills someone from The Mushroom town
Yoshi: Has no special abilities but is in contact with Birdo.
Birdo: Has no special abilities but is in contact with Yoshi.
Toad: No special abilities, participants in daily lynching

Diddy Kong: Can distract someone each night, distracting them too much to use their ability. Knows who DK is.

2. That was just lore and can be ignored. Jt was meant to play off the qig role in the SMBX Forum Mafia 1.

3. No, only the player's name, so at the beginning of the day, a section of the post will be dedicated to the players who visited, like "Hey guys, what do you think of <player> and <another player> having visited me today?"

4. Alright, gonna throw a few guidelines out there:
  • neutral tone
  • that's pretty much it because it shouldn't mess with the game itself. If you wish you can add some other stuff to make it look like it's official (like delaying stuff or complaining about the community) but I can see why people would dislike that

Made some changes to my idea

Bowser’s Mafia Attacks the Mushroom Kingdom

Bomb Toad: Can blast someone with a bomb every night but loses ability for 2 nights if he kills someone from The Mushroom town
Yoshi: Has no special abilities but is in contact with Birdo.
Birdo: Has no special abilities but is in contact with Yoshi.

Mysterious Toad: This Toad acts rather nervous or suspicious at times even though he’s innocent, he doesn’t know that he’s the Mysterious Toad, and cardflips red.

The Kongs
Donkey Kong: Can bash someone over the head with his fists each night, killing them. Knows who the other kongs are.
Diddy Kong: Can distract someone each night, distracting them too much to use their ability. Knows who the other kongs are.
Dixie Kong: Can use a magical banana during a night to revive one of their dead teammates, but can only do it once, knows who the other kongs are.

Shop

Shopkeeper: Can give someone a magic orb each night

WIN CONDITIONS:
Bowser’s Mafia: Have at least Mario dead and outnumber the town, the Kongs, and kill the shopkeeper
The Mushroom Town: Take down all of Bowser’s Mafia, The Kongs, and kill the shopkeeper
The Kongs: Be the last team remaining
Shop: Give Magic Orbs to atleast 3/4 of the players

Dixie Kong knows who the other kongs are but can only revive someone once in the whole game.

I didn't realize the shopkeeper was so op so i'll change that a little bit.

Was bored and inspired by two of the SMBX forum-related Mafia games so I made this:

M__: Retribution
(20 Players / Cardflip)

The Fallen Forumers
Win Condition: Outnumber the Good Forumers and eliminate all of the members of the Lua Alliance.
Blueoak: The leader of the Fallen Forumers. Their lynch vote counts as 2. Knows who the other Fallen Forumers are and can collaborate with them to choose a target each Night whose account will be deleted, resulting in their death.
BERTIE: Will be immediately revived once after death, can be due to a Nightkill or a lynch. (Still marked as dead even after they are revived.) Knows who the other Fallen Forumers are and can collaborate with them to choose a target each Night whose account will be deleted, resulting in their death.
Radishl: Can insult a player each Night, resulting in them not wanting to do anything out of grief (roleblock). Knows who the other Fallen Forumers are and can collaborate with them to choose a target each Night whose account will be deleted, resulting in their death.
Streetzero: Just another Fallen Forumer wanting retribution with no special abilities. Knows who the other Fallen Forumers are and can collaborate with them to choose a target each Night whose account will be deleted, resulting in their death.

The Good Forumers
Win Condition: Eliminate all players who are not Good Forumers.
Joey: Can safeguard a player each Night.
Quill: As long as Joey is alive, their colour will be green, but if Joey dies, their colour will change to mauve. Can inspect a player each Night to find out their colour.
Zeldamaster12: Can permaban (kill) a user each Night, but as long as Joey is alive, their role will be revealed if they hit one of the Good Forumers.
Squishy Rex: Can give a player a present of custom graphics each Night, thereby revealing his identity to that player.
m4sterbr0s: Can choose their cardflip colour as green or blue at the beginning of the game (cannot change this later on).
Enjl: Knows who Marina is.
Marina: Knows who Enjl is.
Forumer: A normal player with no special abilities.

DarkMatt: Knows their identity.

The Lua Alliance

Hoeloe: Can change their colour to yellow, green, blue, or red (but not mauve) each Night. Knows who the other members of the Lua Alliance are and can collaborate with them to choose a target each Night whose mind will be overloaded with complex Lua scripts, resulting in their death.
SnoruntPyro: Can manipulate another player's lynch vote to make it a vote for whomever they choose. (Other players don't know about this.) Knows who the other members of the Lua Alliance are and can collaborate with them to choose a target each Night whose mind will be overloaded with complex Lua scripts, resulting in their death.
