Even though my level wasn't great, I'm happy I at least landed in tier 2. It was my first level and I started late (8 days before the contest ended) and got very little time to test. Feel so stupid about ending with an SMW star that didn't work :?. Stopped testing every time when I got to that point because I thought it would work and missed probably the most important part of the testing.

Well at least you took responsibility for the level, I hope to see my level in at least tier 4.
Also @spinda You must not remember who are the judges, last time the judging was really crude, it's like a rubberband effect.

I have no clue why. I felt like those kind of posts would be reasonable if they passed tier 4.

Unless if the reason is because about the chance of tier 1/2 being removed, I don't really know what's the big deal.

But if the judges are more strict towards everyone, your placing wouldn't change. You might get less points, but so would everyone else.

Well my level made tier 2. Im happy. I was expecting a 2.5/10 and got a 3.7/10. This shows that for my first level, had i put it in the levels section, i would have gotten at least close to average. For a nube thats not too bad.

I'm really curious to play Secret Desert Tar Sands; it's the only time I've seen bossedit8 give a level a substantially lower score than the other judges.

What are you talking about? Fighter Flies have always had jumphurt=1 by default.

The way layer movement works is so sketchy it's impossible to achieve two layers moving the exact same distance at different speeds. The calculation might be correct in theory but something in SMBX interferes with the movement so that in long distances/multiple repeats of moving back and forth at alternately changing speeds the distances will begin to distort.

I'm only in tier 1...
I don't get it, if people say it's bad then it's probably bad, you should have knew what the hell you were doing before publishing it.
Also @MECHDRAGON777 It looks decent enough to be called a level, but the point that's Prox put out really took it down.

The only thing that seemed to made me agree with Prox the most was the map thing.
The other problem was the lack of clear objectives(meaning where the player should go).

Still, I feel like it deserves to be at least in Tier 2, despite of going back-and-forth thing.
The Past still haunts me.

Holy crap! I just realized Robot-Beep-Boop was designed by Friendly Dictator the maker of Abducted Toad, and features sprites from that exact same game! Friendly Dictator, you made an awesome game, man!

For those of you who don't know, Abducted Toad is a fangame on the Mario Fan Game Galaxy website, where toad gets abducted by aliens. Here it is:

Also, Valterri, while AM2R's soundtrack is not perfect, how can you say that it's organic, atmospheric tracks should have sounded more like your electronic beep-boops? M2/AM2R takes place on a world dominated by nature, so why in the heck do you use so many artificial-sounding instruments for your tracks?
