Opinions on "Crutches" in level/episode creation

What do you think qualifies as a crutch? Do you look down on those who use them? Do you use them?

Here are a few specific points to start discussion:
  • Are custom graphics made by other people a crutch?
  • What makes community-made music far less common than custom graphics, and why might there be less of a stigma against its use as opposed to scripts/graphics?
  • Does using default assets qualify as a crutch in some cases?

for your second point: Music is millions of times harder to make than graphics, like you could make graphics in MS Paint if you wanted to, but for music you need to actually find some software and then figure out how to use it. And considering that most of the community is 10 year olds at this point nobody has the power to learn it and honestly I haven't seen any good graphics in ages.

There's no problem with using default assets or other people's assets with permission and it's honestly by no means even close to a crutch imo

Defining the size of worlds in your episode before you start designing and then rushing to fill the slots up before moving on to the next world.
Ideas are useless if you can't make them real.
