In case you guys have not heard, tomorrow will be the Minecon Earth event, with the livestream starting 4:30PM UK time. During the event, you will get to vote which biome gets updated first on Twitter.

I know I can't participate in Minecon Earth event*, but I voted for Desert, since that's the biome I wanted to have when I play Minecraft Pocket Edition &Nintendo Switch Edition
I'm happy that we finally have a cave update - the axolotls, lush caves, pointy rock things that kill you, copper and amethyst, the Deep Dark and the warden, all kinds of cool stuff! I didn't really listen to the Bedrock modding section and Education Edition the because for whatever reason it jars me. I also wonder why they needed to do a Nether Ballet.
Although, it seems like copper and amethyst will be pretty useless outside of crafting telescopes and the warden better have a rare drop to make up for the risk of fighting it. Smithing Table item maybe?

Those are the links to the Twitter polls. If you click on them you will see that the Glow Squid won by narrow margin, narrow enough that a large enough influencer could have potentially swayed the vote in either direction. Apparently there was a campaign for the Glow Squid, but I can't seem to find much information on it. But it did seem like the Iceologer was poised to win the mob vote prior to the event.
On the plus side, the Glow Squid will be at worst a mob that just exists, with no potential of being a 'Phantoms 2.0' sort of thing, which the Iceologer could have been.
Will Iceologer and the Moobloom be added at a later date (especially Iceologer since that lost by such a narrow margin)? Or are these votes basically "pick which one you want for the next update, and the other two are going in the trash forever"?
Obviously someone will create mods for the losing mobs, but it's just not the same.

Highly doubt it, unless you count mods..

Going off of the promise to add the losing biomes from the previous 2 votes, and the Moobloom and Iceologer already existing in other Minecraft spinoffs, then I expect the Moobloom and Iceologer to eventually make it into Minecraft. The only argument against this is the fact that the last time there was a mob vote, the losing mobs did just go in the trash, but that was in 2017 and that vote was handled differently from just about every perspective.
Speaking of Minecraft Live, do you think we will ever see a return to the Minecon format? Obviously wouldn't have happened this year due to Coronavirus, but is it possible Minecon will ever return, or will it always be Minecraft Live?
