I don't get why I can sort of play Terry but am terrible at Ryu in SSBU. The thing is that they're both from fighting games with similar inputs. So that's something.
Maybe it's a learning curve for you....
Funny you should say that, traditional fighting games require a big learning curve, and its interesting that Terry, Ryu and Ken all have a learning curve to follow in Smash, just as they would in their original games.
Terry Main here, Terry is just easier to play, easier commands, and imo, more fun.

I agree, I have more difficulty inputting a true Shoryuken with Ryu and Ken than using Power Geyser.

The fact that people like songs with lyrics more than songs without lyrics.
For me, this perfectly sums it up:

"What music do you like, Jill?"
"I'm not picky, but I do prefer versions with no lyrics."
"Why?"
"I like to listen to music while working, and lyrics distract me."
"And besides, it always bothers me when people nonchalantly start singing songs with creepy lyrics."
"I think only half of the listeners actually care about what's being said."

I don't get why there's no anime song site that has the lyrics (Both in Japanese Kanji and English) to any of the songs from The Legend of Dark Witch games!

I don't get WHY nobody in the Game FAQ community in the history of the site made a FAQ about the bosses' weaknesses in The Legend of Dark Witch 1?!?

I guess people are unfamiliar with this game to find out. :|

I should know, I checked Game FAQs recently.

I don't get why Wikipedia isn't a reliable source even though there are tons of people who are (probably) paid to fact check it every day. Oh well. It's not like you can't just use the sources listed at the bottom of every page, but it still confuses me.

As a matter of fact, german version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire used Wikipedia as a verification source until there was a faulty question in 2005.

Still using the legacy editor? Get SMBX2 and PGE, it will improve your experience significantly. Here's why. And remember, Yoshis are tools to be used and discarded.

I seriously don't get why some of the currently active SMBX members (Example: SPEEDIE) Still have long ass signatures as their current forums signature? I thought Admin Aero lowered the maximum character limit for signatures from 999 to 500 and limit image sizes to 150 x 150 pixels a few years ago

I don't know where you got that from. For the record, avatars have been limited to 125 x 125 (when I joined, it was 200 x 200)

They used to be far worse, back when they were fully displayed no matter how big they were. Nowadays, only a small portion of massive signatures is displayed at a time.

I don't get why some rap or hip hop singers add "If you know the words, you can join in too"* in their songs. It's sometimes confusing to people listening to this for the first time. :|

*Example: the monkey rap from Donkey Kong 64

I know the DK Raps words, but I don't join in too. On that note, how common is it? I don't listen to rap music btw.

Then explain why 1.3 is being advertised on the front page.
I think they should advertise 2.0 on the front page, even if it isn't complete. That way people are sure that the community actually supports it and have less people wasting time with the Legacy Editor and then not wanting to switch to PGE.
Even though it is "beta" it seems stable, I've never had any crashes or other things apart from small annoyances.

Haha, guess i'll change it.

I don't know if some people still do this, but I went through some posts from around 2014 to 2015 and I saw people still using Windows XP

Yeah, that's right, a operating system that lost support back in 2014, sad.
I get that some people cannot upgrade, but if you cannot use anything newer than Windows XP then maybe
you should save up some money and buy a new computer instead of using an almost two decade old operating system.

Preexisting signatures with 501-999 characters weren't affected ofc. (this now means that quote collections like arcade999's sig are very much impossible).
And yeah Speedie you could make the ninji gif a bit smaller

I don't get why some people just write "user" instead of "username". Is this a thing or does it just stem from language misconception?

I believe the word "user" is just a common replacement for "username".

From an online dictionary (specifically the one you get by typing "definition" into the google search bar):

Username: "an identification used by a person with access to a computer, network, or online service."

User: "a person who uses or operates something."

And, from Wikipedia:

User: "A user is a person who utilizes a computer or network service. Users of computer systems and software products generally lack the technical expertise required to fully understand how they work."

So they can essentially be used interchangeably most of the time. Depending on context, one of them might fit better than the other. It just depends on the rest of the sentence, really.

I'm not sure if the quotes you posted were intended to back that argument, but considering they basically said "the user is the person and the username is their name", I don't think they did a very good job at supporting the idea of their interchangability.
Saying user and username are interchangable is similar to saying "controller" and "A button" are interchangable. One is merely a common component of the other.
