Strange Results when trying to retexture Koopa Shell

Hi! This is the first post I've made on this Forum, but have been using SMBX for a while. For a new set of levels I'm working on, I decided to use many assets from the game Super Princess Peach, for various reasons. I ran into a problem while re-doing the Koopa Shell (Green Specifically) and need some advice.

One problem I've run into is that the shell spins even when sitting still or being held.
It also isn't visible while being held to the left by the Player.

The Text file for the NPC is as such:
width=38
gfxwidth=38
height=30
gfxheight=30
frames=8
framestyle=1
framespeed=6

Does anyone have any Ideas/Suggestions for fixing and or avoiding this problem?

If you change the frame style of shells, you remove their special animation structure.

Also, I strongly suggest using .png files rather than .gifs with masks.
