Problems with custom music

Postby JPingas456 » Sun Oct 18, 2015 11:51 am

I was creating a level and i finished it, but i wanted to put custom music in it. I downloaded the .mp3 file and placed it on my episode folder. However the file's name didn't come with the .mp3 thing, i tried placing it with and without the .mp3 but it doesn't work. Can somebody help me?

1. Find a Youtube video containing a music track you want.
2. Find a "Youtube to .mp3 converter".
3. Enter the Youtube video that you want's URL into the converter.
4. Download the final product.
5. Put it in your level folder.

Did you put .mp3 in the white bar where the custom music should play in SMBX?

I tried with and without .mp3. I'll try Kep's idea.

Didn't work. My problem is that i type the file in the box but the file itself doesn't come with .mp3 in the end. I try with and without the .mp3 and it doesn't work. Is this a error?

If you want the custom song to be in the level's folder, you'll have to type in the name of the folder, followed by a slash, then the song's filename. Example: If you have the level in your "worlds" folder, a folder in your "worlds" folder called "folder," and the song (named "song") in the "folder" folder, you should type this into the custom slot:

folder/song.mp3

If you placed the song in the same place your level is (meaning your level and your song are in your "episode folder" and not separated), you should only have to type in the song's filename.

If that still doesn't work, right-click on the song, click "properties," then look at "type of file." Your song might not be in mp3 format, in which case, you would have to type in something besides ".mp3" at the end of the custom music slot.
I've decided to cancel SMBXville Under Seige. After my 1st Senior year of college, I realized I wouldn't have enough time to devote to finishing my four-level episode. Apologies to those who cared.
