Any chance you can remove the death animation for falling in a pit, to make it more accurate to official Mario games?
That can be done on a per-level/per-episode basis as needed without much difficulty if you want to make that happen

Re: SplitUp.lua: NPCs that split upon death

Guess I'll have to wait until Beta 4 since this and your enemy stacking .lua could be useful to me in a future episode. Neither of those will be in Beta4, nor will Beta4 make it easier to use either of them I know they are not in default Beta 4 but would setting up lua scripts be that hard in Beta ...

Re: I wanted to play some limit-pushing 3D levels, but they don't work?

I am on mobile, i cannot tell you now, but i know the level used some files that were not using in most other levels like .obj files and some shader files. The version of the one level that Enjl is playing users shaders but I don't see a download for that version anywhere. The normal level is inclu...

Re: SMBX 2.0 - Some functions don't work...?

Forcing player controls should work fine if you have it set up correctly as they've existed since 1.3 or earlier. There's a number of features that shouldn't be there in Beta3 that are for PGE engine or future SMBX2 updates, such as NPC health, portal warps, etc.

Frankly, we might just need to get new staff.
That's much easier said than done however we are looking to get another mod and admin at some point in the near future

Re: Does SMBX support custom blocks?

SMBX 38a allows you to easily customize the properties of blocks and gives you a lot of options to work with. I have heard however that beta 4 will also provide a customization but i might be wrong tho. 38A (afaik) nor Beta4 allow you to customize the blocks for these effects any more than Beta3 does

Re: Does SMBX support custom blocks?

All of the things you mentioned there are doable in SMBX one way or another but they would likely involve writing some LunaLua code (although not very much, and maybe only for the first one). If you really wanted the second could be done with two different types of blocks and layers and events which...

Re: Does SMBX support custom blocks?

Those blocks just look like normal semisolid blocks which exist by default in SMBX. There are multiple wall jumping scripts that have been written so I don't know which one you're referring to. If the "custom functions" are different than what you've shown you'll also have to elaborate further. Also...

Re: Does SMBX support custom blocks?

You'll have to be more specific as to what exactly you're trying to achieve. It depends on the extent and nature of the changes you're making

The Graphics forum is only for completed graphics which have a download link. I've merged this with the WIP graphics showcase since there isn't a clear download of a final version in the OP. Feel free to repost in the Graphics forum when they're done

Re: SMBX2 (2.0 Beta 3)

A lot of assets from that game from early on are eerily similar to SMBX. ...You are aware that the assets in SMBX were taken from official Mario titles right? That's why they're similar - Nintendo used the original assets. They didn't "steal SMBX", that's ridiculous. Also no, Nintendo did not file ...

Can you put the contents of the lvl file on pastebin and post a link to that here?
You mean like if I open it as a .txt or something like that?
Yes. Open it in Notepad, Notepad++, etc. and copy it to pastebin, then copy the link to the upload here

Re: SMBX2 (2.0 Beta 3)

Ironically, the biggest external thing holding back release right now might be Mario Maker 2, since Nintendo might think we're trying to interfere with their profits and marketing. I say "might", because it's unclear if any delays have to happen because of that, or if we just happen to get release ...

Re: Error When Loading Level In Editor

I've seen this issue happen recently and I believe it involves shutting down/unplugging/restarting your computer with the level editor open which causes the file to be corrupted (however it could have resulted from something different)
