Re: CronoTrigger

Yeah, it's still turn based, not an action RPG (Secret of Mana or Terranigma are action RPGs.) The fights are actually pretty similar to FFVI, except that there's no random battles and every battle takes place in the overworld instead of a special battle screen. first fucking time someone other tha...

Re: CronoTrigger

I bought Chrono Trigger on the Wii Virtual Console last year and loved it. It's definitely the best SNES RPG, in my opinion, and one of the most memorable games I've played. It's also aged fairly well; it isn't a buggy mess like FFVI; it's plot is fairly tight (unlike FFIV's asanine story); and it's...

Re: What is something you can and cannot live without?

How is that offensive.. and why are germans getting always offended by that? Adolf is a normal name :) Also i didn't come out of the dirt, i came out of my mom actually. :P It's probably offensive because even though Adolf is a normal name, it's pretty clear AeroMatter was referring to Hitler, spec...

Re: Where have you gone on vacation?

I haven't traveled much. My (major) vacations have been to Florida, South Dakota, and British Columbia. My family has generally taken smaller vacations in Colorado or the PNW (where I've lived.) All of my vacations have involved road trips, so I have visited more than half of the states.

I wonder how the Olympics will be affected if the protests are still active in August?

Mace Windu had a purple lightsaber because Samuel L. Jackson requested it (purple is his favorite color.)

Re: What are the worst games ever?

Pac-man on the Atari 2600 might be one of the worst games of all time. Now, I believe several criteria determine whether a game is really bad. It needs to functionally bad and also a major disappointment. Pac-man really is not a very bad game, but it was severely rushed and was very disappointing gi...

Re: The Truth Behined SMB2

I think a lot of people who hate SMB2, or at least exclude it as a Mario game, believe that it was somehow an insult to our gaming skills. There is a common misconception that Japanese developers believed that westerners couldn't handle very difficult games as well as Japanese gamers and so they eit...

Oh, that's cool. Of course, I didn't know that since I haven't read the FAQ and I only just now made a thread.

Bertie apparently has a forum

http://knuckles96.prophpbb.com/ Well, Bertie (or suckhacker, they could be the same guy) has an SMBX forum, for whatever it's worth. Actually, it was apparently created at least in 2014, but Bertie now owns it? Can anyone explain this in full? EDIT: OK, so it is Knux's forum. I kind of suspected th...

Re: What is the most extreme illness you've ever had?

I recall being down with a nasty stomach virus during a road trip when I was 11. I felt okay during the day, but as night fell my stomach just began cramping up and wanted to do nothing but lie face down; any other position was unbearable due to the pain and nausea. I also couldn't keep any solid fo...

But I don't love it when a person's post makes little or no sense. Because I don't love it, does that mean their post does make sense? But if it makes sense, then why do I love it? But if I love it, then why did I say I don't love it? If I can both love it and love it not, does it make sense and not...

Re: Bowser isn't scary anymore

Yeah, Bowser has never been scary. SMB Bowser was kind of creepy, because he looks kind of like a demon. Then, SMW Bowser was slightly intimidating and definitely evil looking. Ever since Super Mario RPG, however, he's basically been a massive doofus.

Re: Paper Mario series

Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door is one of my favorite games and one of my top three favorites on the Gamecube (next to The Wind Waker and Pikmin 2.) I was 13 when I played it and I immediately got hooked on it. It was the first RPG I had ever played and I still love it, even if I have completed ...
