SMBX2 requires SMBX 1.3 to run. The way it works is by running that exe, and then adding stuff onto it via ASM hacks and the like. If you want any custom HUD element, you can do this: local function myHUDElement(camIdx,priority,isSplit) -- Do stuff here end Graphics.addHUDElement(myHUDElement) ... or, if you want to override the HUD entirely, you can do this: local function myCustomHUD(camIdx,priority,isSplit) -- Do stuff here ...

There was a minor bug with warps that lead to the world map, and that's now been fixed.

I downloaded it to take a look at the shaders for the transitions... surprised to find swirl not using one, when it could easily use a texture. It would seem you're using an outdated version of SMBX2, as that function was added in one of the patches.

I've been wondering... why exactly is the mini mushroom not possible? Couldn't the issues be avoided with onNPCHarm and onBlockHit, and onPlayerHarm?

Ah yeah, forgot about that. It seems to base it off of the offset that was thought to be "has jumped", but turns out it was if the player can do a purple yoshi ground pound.

Instead of detecting a key press you'd be better off using onJump, like this:

isshell does not cause any kicking behaviour, and you'd need lua for that. Additionally, a shell's frames property must be set to 0 to work properly.

MDA, suggestion: Recreate the SMM2 p-balloon Perhaps as another 'letter' balloon I have actually made that with anotherpowerup.lua, but they're kinda... trapped in purgatory at the moment. I certainly wasn't trying to be critical, MDA has done a phenomenal job here, just wanted to make sure he was ...

Huh, yeah... to be honest, I pretty much just mimicked the way onCollideBlock does it, but I did it myself since I wanted thrown NPCs to interact with them, too.

Edit: I'll probably fix that in the next update.

v1.2.1 is out! It adds seesaws, custom piranha plants, and one-way walls, along with a couple bug fixes and making it easier to change the IDs of NPCs.

Edit: I forgot to add the download link before. That's now fixed.

You don't copy the code into your luna.lua file. You have to have them as a separate file and then put:

By default, tall slopes do not work correctly in SMBX. I know somebody wrote a bit of code to fix them a bit, but it hasn't been released.

For future reference, requests should go in the LunaLua Help subforum. Anyhow, what exactly do you mean by "turn powerups into other powerups"? Do you mean that the NPC is replaced by another NPC, or that the powerup has the effects of another one?
