Now that's a surprise! I thought the Paper Mario games were their own separate timeline. But now I know! ^^" Well I mean, this isn't really supposed to be an official timeline of sorts (there's no official Mario timeline as there is). This is just a passion project of mine where the aim is to sort ...

It's been a while, but I've been working on some major timeline updates. Luigi's Mansion 3, Super Mario Odyssey and Paper Mario: The Origami King have been added to the timeline, as well as a bunch of G&W games.

Okay, so I did some more digging regarding the egg ranks, and I found an otherwise strange response regarding the state of the ranks. This is in response to when I posed the same question three years ago, when the ranks were more relevant due to the contest having been run only three months prior. W...

What happened to Ditchencat? They were pretty prominent on the Discord server and the forum in early 2017, but it seems like they've silently left; their last activity on the forum was last year.

https://www.gamesradar.com/you-can-now-pre-order-zelda-skyward-sword-on-switch-even-though-it-hasnt-been-announced-yet/ From the looks of things, it appears that Skyward Sword might have been leaked at getting a potential port, remaster or remake. One of the most controversial Zelda games, largely ...

Abolish post ranks, bring back medals! I honestly lowkey forgot about the medals. While they did get implemented, they didn't really get much use and the only notable medal that was used was the "Snowman" medal, which was only carried by the mod team at the time. There might have been some other me...

I wasn't sure whether to put this in Q&A or make its own topic, but considering it's more of a suggestion, I decided to put it as its own topic. So if you some of you may recall, this was quite an old contest that was run three years back for Easter 2017, where some eggs were edited into posts and y...

I remember seeing some LunaLua code quite a while back that implemented some kind of oxygen meter which would tick down when you were in the water, and if the meter ran out, you died. Adding poison water could be possible by reskinning the oxygen meter to make it look like the player's health is dec...

The title says it all, really. And yes, that is a question that shows up as part of your profile, however the answers given are still relatively brief, so I'd love to see some of the more detailed means of how you discovered SMBX, in addition to this.
So yeah, how did you initially discover SMBX?

They were a user who was pretty active back on Knux's site and did have some activity here back in the early days of this forum, but seemingly disappeared in early 2014.

Joke levels have been a somewhat regular fixture of contests, and they still continue to remain popular today. You will likely see them among the first levels being played in almost every ToB and similar contest-related episodes. These levels usually don't take themselves seriously, and aren't suppo...

The concept actually looks interesting. I haven't seen many levels that revolve around the 2 player function, but this one takes the 2 player function and runs a whole episode based around it. This could open the way for some fun gimmicks.

Been playing since end of 2009 (or was it 2010?) when I somehow stumbled across supermariobrothers.org when looking for flash games. I recall the first version I got was the 1.1.2 version, which came packaged with The Princess Cliche, The Great Castle Adventure and The Invasion 1. The second one was...

So I haven't been popping around for ages, and a lot of the faces seem to have changed since I last appeared. With that being said, there's a few names that I do recall from my older days which have largely subsided or otherwise disappeared: - HeroOfRhyme - zlakergirl357 - Vinyl Scratch - Chill Ping...

So I do recall a period several years back, nonlinear levels that had a lot of excessive backtracking and exploration, while relying a lot on switch hunts, were all the rage. A lot of levels that scored highly in reviews and did well in contests revolved around switch hunts, where as the name implie...

Why you say that powerups such as Lakitu's shoe and the Hammer Suit are broken? I like them the way they are because they help me a lot (I'm an eternal noob at this game, really). Especially when fighting bosses. The thing is with them, if the designer implements such powerups poorly then they can ...

Might as well bump this, but Sword and Shield has been out for a month now. What are you guys' thoughts on it? Did it live up to the hype? How have you been finding it?
