Not every single basegame SMBX2 feature will be featured (primarily those NPCs that are difficult to design around in a beginner-friendly way)
Which specific NPCs are difficult to design around? I'll see if I can make a rough-draft of a level featuring any that you mention.

Re: The Invasion 3

I just want to reiterate SSX's talking point about custom npcs and go further down with it. For the sake of filespace I don't actually think we plan on using any custom NPCs at all, maybe one or two levels will have some custom npcs assets at most and I don't even want to promise that. This may be ...

Re: The Invasion 3

First and foremost, isn't there already an Invasion 3 here ? Sure, it may not be official...or good, but it can't be discounted entirely. The Invasion 3 is generally meant to be a newer iteration of The Invasion series centered around SMBX2: it's meant to showcase the easily accessible features of S...

Re: SMBX2 BETA 4 Release - Feedback and Suggestions here!

Ok, but these ideas have no chance of being used? Thank You for read my post!! I'm not a developer so I don't get to decide what gets used and what doesn't, so there is always a chance something from that list gets put in. I was just pointing out that many items on the list were already in or exist...

Re: [NPC PACK] Mario Forever Bowser!

If you think there should be more customization let me know, I'll do my best to implement it. Again, if there's anything you want me to add to the NPC, let me know as I'll try to add it! You did a great job porting over this version of Bowser! I especially like how you even put in the fact that Bow...

Re: Water Currents!

they moove a bit slow visually speaking. Their speed is dependent on the "current power" setting. So if it's set to a very low speed (like 0.10), the bubbles will move as slow as molasses. If you are comparing the rate of bubble visuals in SMB3 (using the pipes at the start of 3-1 as reference) to ...

Re: [NPC Pack] Some NPCs I have made (Update: SMB3 Paragoomba & Ceiling Beetles)

Tbh lava lotus and smw lotus are very simuliert in their behavior, both charge up and then shoot up. There aren’t really any big differences. Except the fact that their projectiles move in a different way. Lava Lotuses fire between 3 to 5 projectiles that move slowly upward with minimal spread for ...

Re: [NPC Pack] Some NPCs I have made (Update: SMB3 Flame Chomp & Fire Nipper)

The Flame Chomps you've created are very accurate to the original. Excellent work as always. I ran a side by side comparison to the "LunaDLL" version and yours has a better speed (the other moved lightning fast). When killed, is it supposed to respawn when you move off-screen from it's original posi...

Re: [NPC Pack] Some NPCs I have made (Update: SMB3 Paragoomba & Ceiling Beetles)

the lakitu that throws the regular spinies rather than the green spinies We already have a Lakitu that throws Red Spinies that has no vertical movement just like in SMB3...the SMB1 Lakitu. You would simply have to reskin npcs 610, 611, and 612 to their SMB3 counterpart looks. No need to create a br...

Re: [NPC Pack] Some NPCs I have made (Update: SMB3 Paragoomba & Ceiling Beetles)

Yay, we have pretty much every SMB3 enemy now! We're getting closer. There are about ~14 left (which is still quite a bit). There is an SMB3 Remake being created right now where many of the remaining npcs are being worked on. CJ_RLushi should be happy to see the Paragoomba created. Yay, we have pre...

Re: Another SMB3 Remake - It was already time

The thing with my remake is that it's going to have custom physics, so I guess I don't need to modify the layout that much on that part, but I do need to modify it to fit the new screen, and the idea is that I play the original and SMBX, and I try to compare them and see if everything feels similar...

Re: Another SMB3 Remake - It was already time

4-3 pretty much has to be played in the original game to then calculate how should it feel in SMBX, Phil's remake, at least the old version, I think it was too difficult, but I can't remember The old version of the Remake (especially 4-3) was much harder, primarily do to changed level layouts. 4-3,...

Re: 8luestorm's NPC Pack

I'd love to see a boss bass, at some point. Noted. I like the Fragile Blocks. Is it possible to get those "Projectiles" there own NPC though? You mean the block fragments that fall when the block is broken? If so, yes, but... Why should they be their own NPC? I believe he meant the projectiles from...

Re: Seta's NPC Pack - Boom! (thats what an explosion sounds like, right?)

I actually prefr SML Bombshell Ai, anyways. I feel he captured the essence of what a true explosive koopa troopa would be. The SML koopas feel more like bob-ombs that you can't pick up. The one in this pack functions more like koopas from the other games in that they retract into their shell when s...

Re: MrDoubleA's NPC Pack v1.2.1 - Seesaws, custom piranha plants, and one-way walls!

I hate to say it because they've had such a long run, but it's time to move the old piranha plants to depreciated and make MDA's piranha plants the new official baseline ones. These have an amazing amount of customization options and can truly make each individual usage of a certain plant have a di...

Re: New Super Mario Bros. X

New characters should not be focused on anyway. The amount of 14 characters in X2 is already abundant, given by the fact that they're barely used by anyone. I like that X2 gives you a good amount of choice in how you want to play, so I don't fault them for having a large roster. That being said, I ...

Re: New Super Mario Bros. X

I created a sort of "hotfix" for the first dungeon of the Invasion 2, for those that want to play through it while it's being fixed. The edited level is here . Put the PNG file here in the dungeon 1 folder. I also found a strange occurrence in both NSMBX and 2.0 involving both types of Bloopers. I c...
