Stuck!

I need a little advice. I'm planning on having dungeons with special items in them. I'm planning on having 8 main dungeons with 8 items. The problem is that there are only 4 switch palaces. Anyone have any ideas for alternatives? Maybe I could add 4 more switch palaces? I'm wondering if there's any ...

Hey I am not sure if this is an issue on my part, but I'm having an issue with the power up.

Timed abilities

Is having a timer and cool down for an ability possible? Say if I pressed a button to activate a power up, and after 3 seconds you would lose it. And then for the next three seconds you can't use it.

Permanent events

Is it possible to have an event activated by lunalua that stays activated? I’m using a character switching script but the issue is that when going to another level I can’t switch characters. So I’m wondering if there is permanence for the script

My apologies if I'm inconveniencing any of you. My concern isn't really about the whole controller thing since i'd assume most would have a keyboard if they were to access the internet. So if onkeyboard press is inconvenient then what would I use?

hmmm. On event never seems to work for me. I keep getting the error end is expected(to close function at line 1) near <eof>. But when I add end it says <eof> expected near end.

So i'm trying to activate a code that lets the player switch characters by the push of a button, and its supposed to activate once you talk to peach, because then talking to her would activate the event.

I gotcha. Not too sure if there are any alternatives to the blocks for that thing. But wow, this episode is really fun! Its like im playing actual shantae but instead im controlling a red fat plumber.

So I'm a bit of a noob here, but if you're going for a metroidvania kind of game play style, maybe use the switch palaces. That way, you can put a block where the powerup is required and put the switches in the dungeons.
