Re: 16-bit NSMBWii Grass Tiles

The structure of the grass on the ledges is really simple and flat compared to the rest of the sheet. That aside, the actual sheet itself is sound.

When you just completely forget of Super Mario Bros X's existence for a good half-year.

Broken full-screen

So, whenever I turn on the full-screen mode, the game just sort of hangs around in the top-left, rather than taking up the screen. I know that you get full-screen if you maximize the window, but it's stretched out to look like a widescreen ratio and it looks awful. So that's why I was wondering if a...

Re: Best Video Game Music

The Rayman games lack in catchiness, but gain in atmosphere. Every track sets the mood of the level it plays in perfectly.

Re: Introductions Thread

I've had an account on this site for almost a year at this point, but only recently have I been trying to use it often, so I should introduce myself. I'm Depression Kong. I'm a kong and I'm depressed (not really tho). I try to take constructive criticism and feedback to heart, as any good person sho...

Re: Future Video Games You Are Hyped For

The closest we'll ever get to a Sonic 3 remake is the 3 & Knuckles levels in Mania, for reasons we've all repeated time and time again. SEGA can only represent or re-release Sonic 3 as a completely unmodified ROM. The only way I see them turning that around is if one of the zones with copyright musi...

Re: Things you don't get!

I don't get why all the frames of a sprite in SMBX is one huge image, and why they're in .gif format. Wouldn't it have been much easier to just, like, make each "animation" its own image (Mario's walking frames in one, his jumping frames in another, his swimming frames in another, so on and so forth)?

Re: SMB3 Gold Mario and Silver Luigi Statues

As it turns out, I completely forgot to add the extendable part of the bases into the download.

I've updated it to not only fix this but also revamp the bases' appearances entirely.

SMB3 Gold Mario and Silver Luigi Statues

http://i.imgur.com/6eEROsP.png This graphic's pretty self-explanatory - Statues of Gold Mario and Silver Luigi from New Super Mario Bros. 2, based on the title screen from that game. The sprites themselves come from the game select menu from Super Mario Advance 4, but of course with gold and silver...

Re: Playable 8-bit Mario

Unfortunate that vanilla's limits only allow you to change the size of NPC's, but a good attempt nonetheless.
